Rape Of A Child Indictment Served On Lawrenceburg Man
A Lawrenceburg man charged in December for sexually abusing children has been indicted on charges of rape of a child.
Eugene Frank Hourihan, 82, was arrested December 14, 2012 on a rape of a child charge in the wake of an investigation undertaken through the Lawrenceburg Police Department’s Domestic Violence/Child Abuse Division. The case involved the sexual abuse of an eight year old girl.
At the time of his arrest department officials indicated that Hourihan had been linked to several sexual abuse cases, including a number that occurred at a Lawrenceburg church. Authorities anticipate that additional charges will be issued.
Hourihan, who had been incarcerated at the Lawrence County Detention Center under a $100,000 bond, is scheduled to answer the charge in Lawrence County Circuit Court on May 13, 2013.
